The J Family & A Girlfriends Shoot

In late July and early August, I had a few new clients to capture memories for!  First up is The J Family.  Mrs. J was a referral from one of my very good friends, so I was very excited to meet this sweet family!  I had such a great time with them, and their adorable boys!  I love shooting kids that remind me so much of my own!!!  We got some wonderful family shots at 7 Bridges and down at the beach at Grant Park!  We had a beautiful morning (thank god, because it had been in the 90's and 100's for weeks!)

Earlier this month, I had a first time shoot for me!  I had a group of 11 woman who have been friends for years, some as early as elementary school that wanted some group shots taken!  We had a blast down in the 3rd Ward of Milwaukee!  I love a group who is up for anything!!

What a great summer we've had so far!  School will be starting in a few weeks and then we are on to my favorite time of year....Fall!!!

This Summer Has Been a Busy One!

I've been so busy with getting my new website up and running (www.shellywalkerphotography.com), that I've been slacking on my blogs!  Instead of blogging seperate for each shoot I want to showcase, I'm just going to put a few of my favorite pictures in this blog post!!!

First up is little Baby R's 6 Month Shoot!  I loved meeting this new family!  R wasn't a huge fan of the camera, and was a little bit hard to catch!  We shot at one of my favorite new locations, Menomonee Park!

Next up was Baby S' First Birthday Shoot! I've been able to shoot S since she was in her momma's belly! It's so much fun to watch kids grow up, and see what different things they do everytime you capture these memories! 

Next up will be The J Family at Grant Park and also a first for me...a Girlfriends Photo Shoot!

Trash The Dress!

I'm so far behind on blogging, so I apologize if it's taking me forever to get to your session on here!  Being a photographer, while going to school and managing a household with 3 children is a lot more work than I had anticipated!  I had the chance a few weeks ago to meet up with an old friend and coworker, who I totally miss, and make an attempt at a "Trash The Dress" Session!  For those of you who don't know, this is a fairly new trend with brides!  If you have no use for your wedding dress, and don't feel like storing it forever, why not trash it???  We had such a great time, and I think the pictures turned out beautiful!!  Thanks Kelly for letting me test this out on you!  I hope you enjoy them!!

We hit up a very industrial area in the 3rd Ward of Milwaukee, then hit up the beach and rocks of Lake Michigan!  Kelly was such a trooper!  We took some shots in the lake, and as the tide was coming in very far, Kelly was game for laying down in the sand...just as she layed down, the tide pulled in all the way to the top of her head!!! 

The Arrival of Baby B

We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of B for months now!!!  I photographed mom several times along her pregnancy journey, and now baby is finally here!  For those that don't know this is Maddie's new baby brother (from dad and step mom)!  He's such a little munchkin and loves to be wide awake when I take his pictures!!

He is the sweetest little boy!  I can't wait to keep taking his pictures!!!

Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails....Baby A is here!!!

I had the opportunity to shoot baby A last week, after shooting momma's maternity shoot a few weeks ago!  I'm really looking forward to photographing this little guy through his first year!  He was squirmy, and didn't want to sleep for me!!!!  Seems to be a common trend in all the little boys!!!

Precious E Turns One!!

I had the chance to shoot E when he was just a 10 days old, and that doesn't seem too long ago!  Tomorrow he'll be celebrating his 1st Birthday!  We had fun today running around Nature Hill and ended with some practice digging into Birthday cake!
